International

An international outlook

At the Faculty of Law of the Université Catholique de Lille, internationalism is not just an asset: it’s a commitment. Convinced that today’s legal challenges transcend borders, we train legal professionals capable of thinking and acting on a European and global scale.

Internationally-oriented programmes

From undergraduate level, our students can enrol in bilingual or trilingual courses. This international focus continues at Master’s level, with programmes designed to address global legal challenges and double degrees developed with partner universities and schools across all continents.

This linguistic, cultural and academic openness prepares our graduates for careers abroad, whether in European institutions, NGOs or leading international law firms and companies.

Mobility and cooperation

Our students have the opportunity to spend a semester or a full year studying at one of our many partner universities in Europe and beyond, through Erasmus or bilateral agreements, paving the way for legal careers abroad. Some of our Alumni, for instance, have been admitted to the New York and California Bars.

At the same time, the Faculty of Law welcomes many international students every year. They benefit from personalised support upon arrival, including welcome days, help with administrative formalities, university integration and discovery of local life.

Key figures

  • Around 100 students on exchange per year
  • 18 nationalities on our two campuses
  • Over 40 Erasmus partnerships
  • 145 global or bilateral agreements

A vibrant academic life

Bilingual conferences and symposiums, joint courses with lecturers from partner universities, themed events, visits to landmark institutions… Throughout the year, the Faculty offers a dynamic international programme. These include the FUCE Summer School (European Federation of Catholic Universities), the European Summer Program and the Masterclass ‘Global Actors for Peace’ (organised by the C3RD), bringing together speakers from all over the world.

Our civic and educational projects, including Service-Learning initiatives, are also internationally recognised, as shown by the distinction awarded to the Bus de l’Accès au Droit during the 2024 Uniservitate Awards.
