The largest tax seminar was held at the FLD!

On March 25, the largest tax seminar ever organised in France took place. Indeed, after weeks of preparation for this event, which was particularly close to his heart, Simon Daragon, Senior Lecturer, co-director of the Master’s degree in Financial Law and Head of the Graduate Diploma in Tax education, was able to carry out this very fine project of devoting an entire day to taxation and the many questions it raises during a seminar.

The Teilhard de Chardin amphitheatre, the largest of our University, was full! More than 400 people came to attend this unique seminar, which aimed to give maximum transparency to today’s taxation by making it accessible to all. Among the guests: law and tax professionals, notaries, lawyers, financial advisors… A panel of experts who came to explain this science that so often seems technical but which is above all based on an excellent knowledge of tax law and the right reflexes.

The speeches followed one another and honoured personalities as diverse as they were varied. The exchanges were captivating and did not fail to raise many questions, including the next tax return.

Simon Daragon is very familiar with this subject, since for the third consecutive year he will be supervising the Tax Unit, an event that allows his students trained in tax law to answer taxpayers’ questions while performing a civic gesture, a value that is very dear to the Faculty of Law and to the Université Catholique de Lille. The event will be held on 15, 16 and 17 May from 8.30am to 12pm and from 1.30pm to 6pm! From 15 May onwards, you can get help from the Tax Unit if you are having difficulties with your tax return! Just one number to remember: +33(0)3 59 30 25 05!
