The FLD welcomes its new cohort of international students

The Faculty of Law of the Université Catholique de Lille was delighted to welcome its international students as they arrived for the first semester of the 2026-2027 academic year, as part of exchange programmes.

This year, 26 international students have joined the Faculty for the coming months. They represent 14 nationalities, once again highlighting the richness and diversity of international mobility at the Faculty.

To help them settle in and discover their new environment, the International Relations Office organised a friendly welcome event on 26 August. The international students had the opportunity to meet members of the administrative staff, Dean Sarah Durelle-Marc and Deputy Dean for International Development Aurélien Raccah. It was a valuable opportunity to make initial connections, support students in settling into campus life and encourage interaction between students from different backgrounds.

The countries represented in this new cohort include Germany, Brazil, Canada, China, Spain, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, India, Mexico, the Netherlands, Poland, Sweden and the United Kingdom.

Through welcoming these students and developing its mobility programmes, the Faculty of Law reaffirms its commitment to building an academic community that is open to the world, where cultural diversity and different backgrounds are a genuine source of strength. These exchanges make an important contribution to the Faculty’s international profile and to creating a student experience built around openness, dialogue and intercultural exchange.
