Launch of the Mediation Clinic

The Faculté de Droit of the Université Catholique de Lille, Issy-les-Moulineaux Campus, offers a free mediation service for residents of the city of Issy. This initiative, called the Mediation Clinic, enables anyone involved in a dispute (whether familial, neighbourly, professional or otherwise) to benefit from structured, confidential and supportive guidance outside of formal judicial proceedings.

Mediation is now recognised as an established method of dispute resolution, governed by law and promoted as an alternative to court proceedings. It is based on the principle of voluntary dialogue between the parties, facilitated by a neutral, trained third party: the mediator. Through the Clinic, this role is undertaken by students of the Master Contentieux Privés & MARD (private litigation and alternative dispute resolution), under the supervision of experienced professionals committed to teaching and public service.

Mediations take place by appointment during sessions organised on certain Saturday mornings throughout the academic year. For 2025-2026, the scheduled dates are as follows:

  • 29 November 2025
  • 20 December 2025
  • 10 January 2026
  • 14 February 2026
  • 28 February 2026
  • 11 April 2026

Sessions are held at a partner reception venue provided by the city of Issy-les-Moulineaux: Espace Andrée Chedid.

Appointments must be requested online, no later than 5 pm on the day before each session.
