Lille

Congratulations to our graduates from the Mireille Delmas-Marty cohort!

On Friday 13 March 2026, the Faculty of Law of the Université Catholique de Lille celebrated the graduation ceremony of the 2024-2025 cohort from the Lille campus at the Nouveau Siècle, attended by 1,300 guests. This landmark event, organised with meticulous care, brought together families, teachers and administrative staff to honour the achievements of our Master’s students.

A formal and moving occasion

This year, the graduating class was named after Mireille Delmas-Marty, a French jurist and academic, Professor at the Collège de France and member of the Académie des sciences morales et politiques, who has inspired this new generation of law professionals.

Mr. Patrick Scauflaire, President-Rector of the Université Catholique de Lille, and Sarah Durelle-Marc, Dean of the Faculty of Law, opened the ceremony with speeches. Both highlighted the importance of commitment and ethics in the legal professions, echoing the values embodied by our university.

A recognition for our students

To the applause of their families and friends, 564 graduates took to the stage. This symbolic moment was marked by a special tribute to the valedictorians, recognised for their academic excellence.

The Heads of Lille’s 17 master’s programmes, moved to see their students reach this milestone after five years, shared this unique moment with them. The entire team of the Faculty of Law was delighted to witness the culmination of these young lawyers’ journeys as they now enter the professional world.

The ceremony concluded with the traditional throwing of the graduation caps, a moment of joy immortalised in many photos and videos.

A reception then gave families, graduates and faculty members the opportunity to meet, continue their conversations, share memories and celebrate this achievement together.

We would like to congratulate once again the entire Mireille Delmas-Marty cohort and wish them every success in their future projects.
