Throughout the day, healthcare professionals, lawyers, prison staff and representatives from various organisations came together to examine the challenges surrounding healthcare provision for prisoners, at the intersection of health law, prison law and medical liability.<\/p>\n<p>In a context of prison overcrowding and strains on the healthcare system, the discussions highlighted the persistent gap between the theoretical recognition of the rights of detained patients and their effective implementation in practice. The presentations addressed key issues such as equal access to care, security constraints, shortages of medical staff, and the specific vulnerabilities of certain groups of detainees.<\/p>\n<p>This conference fostered a rich and substantive interdisciplinary dialogue. The discussions provided an opportunity to compare perspectives and identify avenues for improvement, with a view to upholding the dignity and fundamental rights of detained persons. The student organisers, for their part, played a key role in the success of the event, which was praised for the quality of its discussions and the relevance of its insights.<\/p>\n<h5><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Master in Health Law and Medical Liability<\/strong><\/span><\/h5>\n<p>The <strong>Masters in Health Law and Medical Liability<\/strong> addresses the needs expressed by healthcare professionals, who are increasingly confronted with legal issues. Students are thus trained to deal with the legal and ethical aspects of issues relating to the practice of medicine and the healthcare sector.<\/p>\n<p>The programme\u2019s objectives include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Training legal professionals capable of meeting the needs of healthcare professionals in both the private and public sectors, as well as healthcare facility managers,<\/li>\n<li>Gaining a thorough understanding of the legal and human aspects of issues relating to the practice of medicine and the healthcare sector.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a class=\"button\" href=\"https:\/\/www.fld-lille.fr\/formation\/master-droit-responsabilite-medicale\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>FIND OUT MORE <\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<h5><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Another course offered within the Health Law specialisation:<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Master in Digital Health Law<\/strong><\/span><\/h5>\n<p><strong>Digital law in healthcare<\/strong> requires advanced legal expertise in the fields of healthcare, digital technology and data, but also demands an understanding of the challenges inherent in the transformation of the healthcare system as a whole. This is precisely the aim of the programme.
