{"id":34786,"date":"2026-02-04T16:50:54","date_gmt":"2026-02-04T15:50:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fld-lille.fr\/?p=34786"},"modified":"2026-02-09T16:55:11","modified_gmt":"2026-02-09T15:55:11","slug":"talent-day-a-day-dedicated-to-unlocking-the-potential-of-law-students","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fld-lille.fr\/en\/talent-day-a-day-dedicated-to-unlocking-the-potential-of-law-students\/","title":{"rendered":"Talent Day: a day dedicated to unlocking the potential of law students"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Thursday 29 January, the <strong>Faculty of Law of the Universit\u00e9 Catholique de Lille<\/strong> organised its <strong>Talent Day<\/strong> at the Issy-les-Moulineaux campus, a professional development event dedicated to third-year undergraduate (Licence 3) and Master&#8217;s students.<\/p>\n<p>Designed as a key moment for reflection, experimentation and forward planning, the event aimed to help students better identify their skills, showcase their potential and build a coherent professional pathway.<\/p>\n<h5><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>A round table to explore professional pathways<\/strong><\/span><\/h5>\n<p>The day began with a round table discussion entitled &#8220;<em>Skills, degrees, experience: what really matters today?<\/em>&#8220;, held in the Veil lecture theatre.<\/p>\n<p>Speakers from the legal sector, consulting and the corporate world shared their perspectives on current developments, including the diversification of career paths, the role of academic qualifications, the growing importance of transferable skills, the value of professional networks, the impact of artificial intelligence, and emerging forms of professional engagement.<\/p>\n<p>These open and insightful discussions enabled students to gain a clearer understanding of professional expectations and to approach their future with both realism and ambition.<\/p>\n<h5><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Collaborative workshops to move from reflection to action<\/strong><\/span><\/h5>\n<p>The afternoon continued with a series of interactive workshops, during which students explored key themes such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Identifying and recognising personal potential<\/li>\n<li>Developing an entrepreneurial project<\/li>\n<li>Considering an international career pathway<\/li>\n<li>Strengthening applications and recruitment strategies<\/li>\n<li>Building a professional network<\/li>\n<li>Presenting oneself effectively in oral settings<\/li>\n<li>Understanding the challenges of artificial intelligence in legal studies<\/li>\n<li>Imagining the ideal campus<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A professional photo session was also organised, allowing students to obtain portraits suitable for their professional profiles and applications.<\/p>\n<h5><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>A collective debrief and shared commitment<\/strong><\/span><\/h5>\n<p>The day concluded with a plenary feedback session, providing an opportunity to share perspectives, highlight key takeaways and showcase the outcomes of the workshops.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Talent Day<\/strong> reflects the <strong>Faculty of Law<\/strong>&#8216;s ongoing commitment to supporting students in developing strong, transferable skills aligned with contemporary challenges and closely connected to the realities of the professional world.<\/p>\n<p>Our sincere thanks go to all speakers, partners and staff involved, as well as to the students for their active participation and enthusiasm throughout the day.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Thursday 29 January, the Faculty of Law of the Universit\u00e9 Catholique de Lille organised its Talent Day at the Issy-les-Moulineaux campus, a professional development event dedicated to third-year undergraduate (Licence 3) and Master&#8217;s students.
