This event, organised with care and precision, brought together <strong>families, teachers and administrative staff<\/strong> to <strong>honour the achievements of our students<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>A solemn, inspiring and moving occasion<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>This year\u2019s class bore the name of<strong> Robert Badinter<\/strong>, an <strong>emblematic figure in the field of law<\/strong> and a <strong>staunch defender of fundamental freedoms<\/strong>. His lifelong commitment to <strong>justice<\/strong> and to the<strong> abolition of the death penalty<\/strong> has inspired this new generation of legal professionals.<\/p>\n<p>The ceremony opened with <strong>speeches from Mr Patrick Scauflaire<\/strong>, President-Rector of the Universit\u00e9 Catholique de Lille, <strong>Hugues Kenfack<\/strong>, President of the Universit\u00e9 Toulouse Capitole, <strong>Ioannis Panoussis<\/strong>, former Dean of the Faculty of Law, and <strong>Sarah Durelle-Marc<\/strong>, Dean of the Faculty of Law since the beginning of 2025. They all referred to the <strong>importance of ethical responsibility<\/strong> and <strong>commitment in legal profession<\/strong>, in line with the <strong>values<\/strong> embodied by <strong>Robert Badinter<\/strong> and by our <strong>university<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Recognising our students\u2019 achievements<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>To rapturous applause from their families and friends, <strong>424 graduates<\/strong> paraded on stage, <strong>dressed in their gowns and mortarboards<\/strong>. This symbolic moment was punctuated by the <strong>honouring of the class majors<\/strong>, distinguished for their <strong>academic excellence<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The academic staff of <strong>Lille\u2019s 18 Master\u2019s programmes<\/strong>, moved to see their students reach this symbolic milestone after five years of study, all shared this unique moment with them. The entire team of the <strong>Faculty of Law<\/strong> celebrated the<strong> culmination of their journey<\/strong> and <strong>their transition into the professional world<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Student engagement celebrated<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The ceremony also provided an opportunity to highlight<strong> student commitment to campus associations<\/strong>. The 2023-2024 <strong>Student Life Awards<\/strong> celebrated several student associations: the most<strong> promising<\/strong>, the most <strong>committed<\/strong> and the most <strong>innovative<\/strong>. These awards showcased the spirit of <strong>initiative<\/strong>,<strong> solidarity<\/strong> and <strong>creativity<\/strong> that energises student life within our Faculty.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>A warm and convivial finale<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The event concluded with the traditional <strong>mortarbroad toss<\/strong>, a moment of <strong>collective joy and celebration<\/strong>, captured in countless photographs and videos.<\/p>\n<p>A <strong>drinks reception<\/strong> then brought together graduates, their families and members of staff, allowing all to continue <strong>sharing memories<\/strong> and <strong>celebrating this success together<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em><strong>We once again offer our warmest congratulations to the entire Robert Badinter graduating class and wish them every success in their future endeavours !<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Friday 7 March 2025, the Faculty of Law of the Universit\u00e9 Catholique de Lille celebrated the graduation of the 2023-2024 class from the Lille campus, during a formal ceremony held at the Nouveau Si\u00e8cle, in the presence of 1,200 attendees.
