On Monday 6 January 2025<\/strong>, Sarah Durelle-Marc officially became Dean of the Law Faculty of the Universit\u00e9 Catholique de Lille.<\/strong><\/span> This nomination follows her election on 21 October 2024<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Teacher-researcher<\/strong> specialising in European law<\/strong> since 1998, Sarah DURELLE-MARC has been a Lecturer<\/strong> at the Faculty of Law since 2017.<\/p>\n

She has since held several strategic positions. She was appointed Dean’s Advisor<\/strong> immediately after her arrival and Vice-Dean in charge of Academic Affairs<\/strong> in 2023. Head of teaching<\/strong> for the Licence Droit Science Politique programme<\/strong>, she coordinates the student and teacher communities<\/strong>, actively supporting educational innovation<\/strong> and service to society<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Since 2019, Sarah has also been coordinating the Summer School \u2018European Humanism in the Making\u2019<\/strong>, run by the FUCE<\/strong> (Federation of European Catholic Universities). At the same time, she is a judge-assessor<\/strong> at the Cour Nationale du Droit d’Asile<\/strong> and a consultant<\/strong> for the Haut-Commissariat aux r\u00e9fugi\u00e9s<\/strong> (Office of the High Commissioner for Refugees).<\/p>\n

Holding a Doctorate in public law<\/strong>, she has undeniable experience in teaching<\/strong>, managing<\/strong> and leading teams<\/strong>, backed up by solid scientific expertise<\/strong>. Since her arrival, she has played a decisive role<\/strong> in the strategic<\/strong> development of the Faculty<\/strong>, particularly in terms of programmes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The nomination of Sarah DURELLE-MARC as Dean is an acknowledgement of her qualities<\/strong>, her academic expertise<\/strong> and her exemplary commitment<\/strong> to the excellence of our faculty.<\/p>\n

Her ambition is to make the Faculty of Law of the Universit\u00e9 Catholique de Lille stand out by strengthening its key role in training the jurists of tomorrow, ready to meet the challenges of contemporary society.<\/p>\n
