{"id":25289,"date":"2023-10-20T11:00:59","date_gmt":"2023-10-20T10:00:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fld-lille.fr\/?p=25289"},"modified":"2023-10-20T11:01:17","modified_gmt":"2023-10-20T10:01:17","slug":"new-challenges-for-our-dean","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fld-lille.fr\/en\/new-challenges-for-our-dean\/","title":{"rendered":"New challenges for our Dean!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We are delighted to hea that <strong>our Dean Ioannis Panoussis had been appointed Vice-Rector in charge of International Development at the Institut Catholique de Lille<\/strong> by Patrick Scauflaire, Chairman-Rector of the Universit\u00e9 Catholique de Lille.<\/p>\n<p>The arrival of Ioannis Panoussis in this role is an important step in his many years of commitment to the University.<\/p>\n<p>After he obtained his PhD in international and European law, Ioannis joined the Faculty of Law in 2006 as a Senior Lecturer at the Universit\u00e9s Catholiques. His mission was to work on several multilingual and multicultural courses, and so he launched several Bachelors and Masters in International &amp; European Law. A year later, he was appointed assistant to the Dean in charge of the Faculty&#8217;s international development. In 2014, he was <strong>elected Dean of the Faculty of Law and has made international aspect a main goal of his successive mandates<\/strong>. Finally, he was entrusted with the task of coordinating the internationalisation of the faculties of the Universit\u00e9 Catholique de Lille by becoming the I<strong>nternational Development Delegate.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The international transformation of the Faculty of Law is an undeniable success: t<strong>he creation of IELS (the International and European Law School), new programmes, new partnerships with many Faculties around the world, co-diplomation with foreign partner universities, a constantly-growing network of visiting professors.<\/strong>.. Thanks to this great international commitment of the teaching and administrative teams, students are now studying at a Faculty that is open to the world. This internationalisation is being built day by day and offers new opportunities to our future lawyers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>His new role will enable him to contribute to the reputation of our University and consolidate our position as a European and international player<\/strong>.
