The tourist visa is not sufficient and can lead to deportation after 3 months as well as non-recognition of degrees obtained.<\/p>\n<p>To obtain this visa you must provide the following documents to the French Consulate:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A\u00a0<strong>certificate of pre-registration<\/strong>\u00a0to a school or university<\/li>\n<li><strong>Proof of sufficient financial resources<\/strong>\u00a0to support yourself.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;23360&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221;][vc_column_text]<strong>The day you arrive you must have your passport stamped by the border police.<\/strong>\u00a0If you transit through another Schengen country, this stamp must be obtained from the appropriate authority in that country.<\/p>\n<p>Within 3 months of your arrival you must submit the following documents to the International Relations Office of the faculty:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The document \u00ab<i><strong>\u00a0Demande d\u2019attestation OFII<\/strong>\u00a0(Office Fran\u00e7ais de l\u2019Immigration et de l\u2019Int\u00e9gration)\u00a0<\/i>\u00bb Which will have been issued by the Consulate with your visa.<\/li>\n<li>A\u00a0<strong>copy of your passport<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;23362&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;23312&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221; css=&#8221;&#8221;][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text]These 2 documents will subsequently be sent to the OFII by the International Relations Office. You will then be summoned by the OFII by post to validate your visa and attend a medical check up at the OFII: 892 avenue de la R\u00e9publique \u00e0 Marcq-en-Bar\u0153ul.<\/p>\n<p>You must provide:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A copy of your\u00a0<strong>passport<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>A\u00a0<strong>passport sized photo<\/strong>\u00a0(no hats, glasses or other apparel that may cover the face and the neck)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Proof of address in France<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>A\u00a0<strong>revenue stamp<\/strong>\u00a0(\u201ctimbre fiscal\u201d) for 55\u20ac<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element \">\n<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n<h3>STUDENT SOCIAL SECURITY<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element \">\n<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n<p>Studying in a higher education establishment requires the mandatory subscription to the student social security scheme. Student social security is either free or not depending on age and \u00a0particular case. For a general idea, the\u00a0amount for the academic year 2016\/2017 is 215 euros of charge, payable if the student reaches the age of 20 in the year. Students can have the choice between two complementary insurance schemes:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.smeno.com\/\">SMENO<\/a>\u00a0or the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/lmde.fr\/\">LMDE<\/a>. The affiliation takes place when you register.
